Summary/Abstract: Scholars consider Albanian legendary epic the monument of Albanian cultural heritage. A joint project of Prishtina and Tirana for its presentation to UNESCO as a top value cultural heritage for humanity is under way. It is a continuation of Illyrian epic song and poetic resonance of the conflicts and bloodshed with arriving Slavs in Illyria, initially in the second half of the first millennium. It still has an active life, even in the first half of the third millennium, mainly in remote mountainous regions in Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro. In present time it is especially known the province of Rugova in Kosovo, where fifteen volumes of songs and variants, with more then hundred thousand verses were collected, whilst total number of collected Albanian verses is five hundred thousand verses. Emigration in Albanian legendary epic and the marriage of the frontier warrior with the beautiful King’s daughter was treated in the analyses of five selected songs and their variants collected in Postrribë, Shkodër; Mali i Rrencit, Lezhë; Shtupeq i Vogël and Shtupeq i Madh, Rugovë. The first two were collected by prominent albanologists Ramadan Sokoli (1950) and Dhimitër Shuteriqi (1951), while other three were collected in Rugovë (1986 and 1987). In all five, the main character is a frontier warrior Sokol Halil Aga, very handsome and brave boy, with extraordinary strength, adored by the girls of the kingdoms, a boy who is befriended with Mountain Fairies and Nymphs- distinguished creatures of Albanian Mythology. Masked, as a Magyar (Hungarian), he emigrates. His aim is to marry a beautiful King’s daughter. In five analyzed songs and variants he moves from Jutbina, his homeland, to further than (Black Tuna) Tuna e Zezë. His travel even goes to Baghdad. After many vicissitudes, hiding as a Magyar, he achieves his goal. He waits for its realization for three years. He protects the honor of Gjelina and kills Baloz in a duel. He shows his hidden identity to the King and also his goal. The marriage is realized friendly, mainly. Poetic values, figuration, formulas, epic narration, mythic creatures, poetic scapes of arenas, the poetics of space, poetic of time/ temporality, ethical code of the frontier warrior, incredible love, readiness for sacrifice, dealing with risks even with death while fighting with Baloz are of great interest. Attention pulls the poetic of legendary temporality in epic, when for example, Halil sleeps for 100 years and after he wakes up he says ‘I took a nap’!; or: Muji is sentenced two thousand years of imprisonment and he keeps them, and all this is done in just one song verse. The poetic of legendary space in epic also is of interest for researchers: in just a verse the Frontier Warrior comes from Jutbina to Miskov (Moscow). Of interest is also Sh. Sinani (2006) ascertain regarding temporality and extratemporiality in epic.
