Summary/Abstract: In this paper the subject matter for reflection is deemed to be the shaping of the morality of consumers in a consumer society. The author in question describes the circumstances of the development of new morality in consumption. There is a focus on the changes in the systems of values in the direction of the domination of consumer values. The spread of hedonistic bases among consumers has also been indicated. Reflection on the appearance of two opposing moralities in consumption has also been undertaken, namely hedonistic morality and morality of a socially responsible consumer. There is also a description of the features characteristic of a new hedonistic morality, as well as a presentation of the postulates of morality for a socially responsible consumer.
