Gross Domestic Product And Contemporary Criticism

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the characteristics of the Gross Domestic Product and its development of up in Poland and the countries of the European Union with particular emphasis in 2012. The purpose of this article is to analyze critically the GDP and an indication of alternative measures of economic growth. In the first part of the article describes the process of evaluation GDP and methods of its measurement. The second part of the article includes the formation of the GDP in Poland, while the last two modules are devoted to the dilemmas associated with GDP and its alternative indicators.
