Analysis of social development, including sex indicator by human development index in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the characteristics of the HDI, and an analysis of the level of social development in Poland. The aim of the study is to analyze various measures of social development which are components of the HDI, and to determine the participation of women and men in the context of the creation of this measure in Poland. The first part of the article presents the characteristics of the HDI with its individual elements. The second part of the study is empirical and includes the analysis of individual indicators of social development disaggregated by gender in Poland.
