Territorial pollution in rural areas of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship

Summary/Abstract: The main elements responsible for negative changes in the aquatic environment are nitrogen and phosphorus. They come from spot sources, such as industrial and municipal wastewater and territorial sources, which the areas used for agriculture are included to. It is estimated that about 50% of biogen polluting lakes and rivers, and thus flowing into the Baltic Sea, is a result of territorial pollution. The article focuses only on the analysis of the relationship between the agricultural activities and generated by it territorial pollution in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. For this purpose, the data of size used fertilizers and the data of size farm animals population and poultry in the voivodeship for risks associated with animal farming were analyzed.
