Economic rent as a condition of implementation strategy of a finished product and a determinant of a flexible manufacturer

Summary/Abstract: In this paper, the authors found it reasonable to present the context of the economic rent as a factor determining the implementation of the finished product and a determinant of the flexible manufacturer. In the context of the conducted research, the authors are searching for answers to two key questions: 1. Can the amount of economic rent, achieved by a manufacturer, currently provide the basis for the decision in the context of the implementation of the finished product? 2. Can the economic rent make the market advantage achieved by the flexible manufacturer operating in the market of agricultural mechanization? The achievement of such an assumed objective required the formulation and the implementation of the partial objectives, which, according to the authors, included: a) the subject literature queries related to economics and management sciences, remaining in the direct relation to the topic of the research, including the discussion about the economic rent in the context of the manufacturer’s decision-making and the related diversification of the product portfolio, b) presenting the relations between the height of economic rent and the decision on the implementation of the finished product, c) showing the effects, in the financial aspect, which the decision, concerning the implementation and the related amount of the economic rent, made by the manufacturer, entails. Within the framework of the research, an original method for achieving the growth of the economic rent, through the use of the strategy associated with “slimming”, was offered.
