Summary/Abstract: When thinking about finding one’s first job and probably any job, help from our family and friends is usually sought out. The network of people we know, of our relationships, is often called “social capital”. In this way “social capital” is used in networked and individual perspectives. Results from BAEL can reveal how often this path – that through family and friends -- is declared as a way of searching for a job. As well, using results from BKL one can reveal if this way is successful and what kind of employees have found employment in this way.
