Summary/Abstract: The workshop Innovations and Culture – Regional Problems and Solutions, organised by the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and the P. R. Slaveykov Public Library (Veliko Tarnovo), is an accompanying event at the Fifth International Conference Digital Presentation and Preservation of Cultural and Scientific Heritage—DiPP2015. The workshop is dedicated to the anniversary of Asen and Peter’s Uprising in Veliko Tarnovo (1185) and is focused on the presentation and preservation of cultural and historical heritage in the Bulgarian North Central Region (North+ Region). The workshop Innovations and Culture – Regional Problems and Solutions aims to promote and accelerate the digitization of cultural and historical heritage in North+ Region. Its purpose is also to look at the digitization of cultural and historical heritage through the eyes of young scientists from the Bulgarian North+ Region and of PhD students from the St Cyril and St Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo.
