Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the military production in communist Romania in terms of assimilations in the manufacturing of new or upgraded military equipment and the effect on organizational culture and on management practices used after 1989. It is also presented the effect of reorganizations and restructurings based on the principle of reducing the number of staff only, without structural changes, without reducing costs , without increasing productivity, without improving quality.
