Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to emphasize the importance of grammar teaching in a communicative manner, which includes grammar games among other methods. A clear distinction has been made by linguists regarding principles of traditional, linguistic grammar vs. the new learner oriented method of the last decades. While the traditional grammar offers a highly abstract approach, the so called learner oriented grammar focuses on a pragmatic manner of grammar study. Learning psychology has become more important in grammar acquisition. Comprehension and memorization of structures, as well as correct implementation in real life are to be considered by learners and teachers of a foreign language.
