Spatial-structural changes in Poland’s foreign trade in 1999-2012

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to present changes in the geographical structure and commodity composition of Polish foreign trade. Foreign trade is understood here in the narrow sense of selling and buying material goods abroad. The analysis covers Polish trade with all the countries of the world during the years 1999-2012. The article presents: the structure of foreign trade turnover by groups of countries (developed countries, developing countries and Central and East European countries) in 1999-2012, the composition of imports and exports by sections according to SITC nomenclature in 1999-2012, the foreign trade turnover by major countries in 2002 and 2012, and imports and exports by main commodities according to CN nomenclature in 2002 and 2012.
