A DETAILED STUDY OF ONE SERBIAN DIALECT

Summary/Abstract: This is a review of the book The Kopaonik Dialect: an Ethnographic and Cultural Approach by Prvoslav Radich. The book researches an interesting and not well-known Serbian dialect which has not only preserved archaic (Proto-) Slavic linguistic features but has also undergone analytic changes under the influence of other Balkan minority languages. In describing the characteristic features of the dialect, the author uses not only the dialectological but also the ethnographic and cultural approaches.
