Summary/Abstract: The paper aims at finding the equivalents of some terms used in the context of title deeds. An attempt to explain the fact regarding the different legal systems that lead to the incongruence of terms has been made. An analysis of the definitions in the bilingual (Bulgarian - English) dictionaries is presented. Functional equivalents of the terms are proposed in the conclusion of the research.
