Model of a rational implementation decision of a manufacturer on the market of agricultural mechanisation – concept and application

Summary/Abstract: The main objective of this paper is to develop a model of a rational implementation decision as well as its verification in business practice. Works on the model were preformed in accordance with the concept of a flexible organisation, the primary objective of which is rational and effective implementation of its various components. The achievement of the main objective required the formulation and implementation of sub-targets, among which the following are distinguished: (1) Systematisation of the key – from the research point of view – assumptions and definitions, which was possible through the analysis of the precisely selected theoretical achievements. (2) The development of the model of the rational implementation decision, in the context of creating the manufacturer’s product portfolio by adopting the key, from this point of view, accepted criteria, which according to the authors, enabled to show the relationship between rationality and efficiency in business practice. (3) The analysis of the production process of a component – selected from the manufacturer’s product portfolio, subject to the research – the implementation of which would appear to be contrary to the assumption of efficiency, and on the other hand, its abandonment would be irrational.
