Comparative analysis of voivodeships due to the innovation activity of industrial enterprises in the years 2004–2012

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is comparative analysis of innovation activity of industrial enterprises by voivodeships in 2004–2012. The following aspects have been covered by the analysis: the enablers/potential and factors, firm activities, indexes of outputs type. The analysis showed that in each of the mentioned fields of innovation the positions of particular voivodeships varied. With respect to measures for 1 – the enablers, of which 1.1 – finance and support (1.1) and lack of obstacles for realization of innovative activity (1.3.) there was a relatively substantial distance between the extreme voivodeships; a relatively low value of innovation measure gap appeared in the field of linkages and entrepreneurship (2.2). In 2004–2012 voivodeships with the lowest notes improved their positions, while majority of the voivodeships with the highest notes did not maintain their positions.
