External public debt of developing countries

Summary/Abstract: The objective of the paper was a presentation of main changes in the structure of external debt of developing countries in last two decades. Research conclusion shows, that there was a decline of the public debt in the composition of external debt of this group of countries. It is partly a result of adopting policies to substitute the public external debt with domestically issued debt in order to reduce a risk of overdependence from foreign finance.
