Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of the following elaboration is to present assumptions, essence and tools of strategy of management competence development on the example of Fresh Logistics − Raben Group. This strategy has been implemented in the company for some years based on the recent trends of HR theory and praxeological orientation of changes design The article shows theoretical differences between potential and competence,and also relations between each other. Then three levels of competence (key, complementary and leadership) are distinguished and described. Special development tools referring to the three levels are proposed. In the authors’ opinion management audits are very important tools in management competence development processes. The concept is an original theoretical and practical contribution in human resource management issues of contemporary organizations.
