Economic security of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and capabilities of its long-term development

Summary/Abstract: In the contemporary economy there is growing importance of individual regions. The Lower Silesian Voivodeship has adopted a strategic approach to economic development, whilst ensuring the economic security of the region. This action allows to direct changes taking place in the economy and determine the level of implementation of intended objectives. A necessary measure for achieving the objectives would be ongoing monitoring of the level of implementation of intended actions, which will allow to check if there are any signals of risks to the economy. The purpose of the article will be to present the way of perceiving the economic security of Poland in development programmes on the example of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and selected determinants of economic development of the region, which influence its economic security.
