Summary/Abstract: The paper is devoted to Corporate Social Responsibility, particularly in reference to initiatives intended for local community. The first part of paper encompasses motivations for taking action concerning sustainability issues. The following part of the paper provides research outcome concerning Business – NGOs partnerships. Finally, a few examples of CSR activities referring to business and non-governmental organizations partnerships in Podkarpackie Province are presented
