Summary/Abstract: The present article started from the assumption that teaching and leadership are actually two professions that are quite similar. In the modern society we have witnessed important changes taking place both in the teaching and business environments. The days of the “control-and-command” model and of the unquestioned authority principle are gone; thus both teachers and leaders are faced with new challenges. They are no longer expected only to transmit knowledge, discipline and control students or employees and evaluate results, but rather to guide, persuade, motivate and inspire. So how could they do that? Well, it seems that the answer is effective communication. Therefore, the article aims at highlighting the main leadership communication principles that could be successfully implemented in the teaching activity.
