Summary/Abstract: The paper presents results of research comparing selected components of trade offer of discounts with their competitors offer. Their clients assessed level of prices, width of assortment, quality of commodities and level of service. There was accepted a thesis that clients perceive essential differences between the offer of discounts and other trade units and that conditions of the economic crisis influence on increase of purchases in the shops realizing strategy of low costs and relatively low prices
