Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to verify the hypothesis that the level of the saturation of the economy with FDI is the determinant of nonlinear relationship between FDI and factor productivity in the host country. The research was conducted for ten Central and Eastern European countries during 1993-2008. The results did not provide unambiguous evidence in support of the nonlinear relationship between FDI and labour productivity. However, the results revealed that the saturation level of the economy with FDI may influence the net effect of FDI on labour productivity. Low level of the saturation was a catalyst of positive influence of FDI on productivity, and higher saturation limited positive effects of FDI in this respect.
