Indeks leksyki pisarza jako typ opracowania leksykograficznego
A writer’s vocabulary index as a type of lexicographic reference work

Summary/Abstract: The paper aims at depicting differences between Polish idiolectal vocabulary indexes; it also presents a research project concerning Karol Wojtyła’s artistic vocabulary. The first part of the article is devoted to discussing various types of writer’s vocabulary indexes and lexis that is characteristic for particular texts. Several subtypes of such reference works may be differentiated, i.e. simple word lists containing information on the number of occurrences, concordance-type indexes, as well as studies providing not only quotations and locations thereof, but also detailed characteristics of a lexical item’s usage. The second part of the paper presents a digital index of Karol Wojtyła’s artistic vocabulary that is currently being developed. The index is extensive, it provides information on a lexical item’s frequency and grammatical characteristics, it includes phonetic and morphological variants, it also encompasses all the quotations along with locations and text-type labels. The study includes proper names, placed in the word list according to the alphabetical order. As soon as the work is accomplished, the index will be available online.
