Summary/Abstract: In this article, the authors present unpublished archaeological materials discovered in two settlements belonging to the free Dacians (2nd - 3Ird century A. D.) located in the submontane area of the Neamţ County (Eastern Romania). The two archaeological sites were investigated during the seventh decade of the 20th century, but the result of the researches, with the exception of some brief mentions, was never exploited in the specialized publications. Both of them are open settlements, placed on the low terraces of some water courses. The research of the settlement in Topoliţa was focused on a dwelling place; among the findings we identified local and imported ceramic materials, but also a series of iron objects. The imported pottery, of Roman origin, is represented by numerous amphora fragments attributed to the 2nd - 3rd century A. D. From the settlement in Războienii de Jos, there were gathered several complete or possible to restore ceramic recipients belonging to the local population. It is possible that these materials are from one single archaeological complex, probably a domestic pit. The Subcarpathian area of the Neamţ County was intensively inhabited by the communities of the free Dacians. The publication of the archaeological testimonies from the two settlements intends to complete the already known overview on this sector.
