Operational activities of municipalities in the production of energy obtained from renewable sources based on Warmia and Mazury Voivodeship

Summary/Abstract: The paper attempts to evaluate the activity of local governments (municipalities) of Warmia and Mazury in stimulating the development of energy based on renewable sources. The own research proves that one in four communities has plans for the supply of heat, electricity and gas, and these studies are undertaken only in a comprehensive supply problems in the energy community residents, including the share of renewable energy sources (RES). The study identified factors that can mobilize local communities to work towards the achievements of Poland in 2020, set in the PACKAGE ‘’3x20” (Climate and Energy Package EU) 15% share of energy produced from renewable sources.
