Agricultural advisory service facing new challenges

Summary/Abstract: Agricultural advisory service, especially the public one, is an important link to the transfer of knowledge to practice. The aim of this study was to determine the trends concerning the future of agricultural consulting in Poland. The source of the information were reference documents and reports of agricultural consulting institutions. In the study it was proposed to create the so called integrated cooperation networks for support within advisory system of: - local entrepreneurship in terms of modernization, innovation, vertical and horizontal integration, - balanced utilization of agricultural production space to run traditional ways of production, as well as production of energy from renewable sources, - actions connected with protection and balanced use of natural resources and cultural rural areas, - process of development of human and social resources and equalization of educational opportunities for rural area inhabitants, - actions for improvement of quality and increase in availability of public services in rural areas, - actions for broadening educational offers for rural area inhabitants. Referring to the method management of knowledge and innovation transfer system, It should be characterized with special attention to introduction of developed by parties (partners ) rules of cooperation, putting emphasis on solving problems connected with improvement of production efficiency and reaching rational goals.
