Summary/Abstract: Institutional regulations of regional cooperation in the European Union (EU) are presented in this paper. It discusses cooperation network between the regions and characteristics of institutional approach. It includes an over view of the EU rules of regional cooperation. It shows the importance of regional cooperation and more specifically it presents the partner regions and benefits from regional cooperation on the example of the lubuskie voivodoship.
