Summary/Abstract: The article identifies revitalization as a key aspect of the urban sustainable development processes, both in terms of development strategies, as well as the anticipated financing. The article presents the strategic and financial importance of revitalization processes, as well as the concept of revitalization for funding revitalization needs. The article also recognizes the financial risk connected with the excessive delay in the adoption of the concept of revitalization by enacting national strategic documents, especially Revitalization Act.
