The concepts of sustainable development and balancing of development for financing needs by local authorities of Łódź voivodeship

Summary/Abstract: The article shows the complexity of the terminology associated with two key concepts in the development of the world: sustainable development and balancing of development of various regions of the world, for the purpose of their financing at the local level (based on the communes of Łódź Voivodeship). It shows the importance of sustainable development and the evolution of the concept including provisions of the Earth Summit that took place in Rio de Janeiro in June 2012.
