In the Circle of Women’s Fiction: Culture of the Book Contexts in Luxury Women’s Magazines

Summary/Abstract: The article indicates the role of luxury women’s monthly magazines “Twój Styl”, “Pani” and “Bluszcz” in motivating contacts with books and developing reading habits during the year of 2010. Discussed periodicals can be perceived as a medium presenting various literary and paraliterary texts directly on their pages and as a significant source of information and promotion of certain names, titles and genres using various types of criticism as well. That is why especially women’s periodicals create bestsellers and form the market of the popular female fiction.
