Summary/Abstract: Dairy industry is one of the most important branches of Polish agri-food sector that showed remarkable development after the accession to the EU. Dairy market is one of highly regulated food markets in the EU. Changes in prices at particular stages of food chain are defined as price transmission. The price transmission has got certain impact on the revenues of producers and processors as well as on the economic gains of consumers. Prices along the food chain very often vary not proportionally which is considered the asymmetric price transmission. The main aim of the article was an econometric analysis of price transmission and its asymmetry along the food chain in Polish dairy sector.
