The Book Collections of Silesian Priests in the Theological Library of the University of Silesia in Katowice

Summary/Abstract: The Theological Library has been gathering book collections of priests, handed over by the owners or other authorized persons. Three of those collections deserve particular attention. The firs one, donated by archbishop Szczepan Wesoły, includes emigration, Polish migrant, and historical literature. The second one is the heritage of priest professor Remigiusz Sobański, with writings on canonical and philosophical law, theology and social sciences. The last one, donated by priest professor Wincenty Myszor, includes patristic, early-Christian, theological, historical, and humanist literature. The collections greatly enrich the Theological Library, considerably enlarging the ecclesiastic collection of the Katowice Archdiocese.
