Evolution of regulations concerning warehousing charges of waste in the Polish environment protection law

Summary/Abstract: The article reviews and analyses the changes which took place in warehousing charges of waste in the Polish system of law of the environment protection. An aim of these changes is to increase the stimulative function of payments and to make entrepreneurs bear the cost for reducing the negative impact on the environment and the rational management of its resources. It requires the constant alteration of economic instruments which includes fees, in a way they affect the financial result of the company, stimulating for taking environment- friendly actions, but not weakening the company standing. Earlier announcing changes in rates of payments, enabling business entities to take appropriate changes can serve to relieve the influence of payments for using the environment e.g. alteration of the technological process, implementation of an environment-friendly investment project, change of the scope of production.
