Summary/Abstract: In the teachings of Pope Benedict XVI, the Church is a dynamic reality, focused on Jesus Christ, its founder, and constantly animated by the Holy Spirit, who bestows upon the faithful the ability to testify. Owing to the ecclesiastic community, Christ is still preached and manifested. The power of the Holy Spirit makes Christ’s Church live, grow and develop in the followers’ communities and in the world. In His Church, Christ constantly wanders through history. This is possible owing to the particular structure: Apostolic Tradition and succession. His “God’s new family” preaches the Gospel, proclaims the coming of God’s Kingdom, makes one a disciple of Christ, heals the body and soul, as well as undertakes the service of love – caritas. By this, it gives testimony to the Trinitarian love of God and becomes a trustworthy tradent of salvation.
