Summary/Abstract: A synchronic reading of Gen 1-3 reveals that the human being is predisposed to decline from the very moment of being created God does not state that the human is good, as He does in all the other cases. Creation is seen as a process, through which every creature grows out from its opposite (the light comes out of the darkness, the land of the sea etc.), becoming the dominant form of being. For this reason evil threatens to emerge from and even to dominate the good creation. Because of the creation of evil the whole process of creation has to decline. This occurs through the curse and the eviction of the humans from the paradise, which is at the origin of evil. Considering the extent of the danger connected to the cognition of evil, the measure taken against the human does not seem fair, but is justified by its aim of limit the damage. Outside the paradise the knowledge of good and evil that caused the appearance of the evil, is one of the most important abilities of the human being that allows one to make the right choice
