Summary/Abstract: The floods in May and August 2014 caused several losses of life and ways immeasurable damage. From the viewpoint of archival profession, the damage is irreparable and incalculable. Laws and bylaws who regulating archival activity in the Republic of Srpska no provisions relating to the protection of archival and documentary materials in a state of natural disaster. It pointed to a lack of skilled workers and equipment for rescue archival and documentary materials.
