Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the way the transport of merchandise and the means used for transporting merchandise in Peja and its surroundings. The methods and the means which were in use until 80`s of the 20th century are considered. The main forms of transportation described include transportation by hand, transportation by shoulders, transportation by backpack, transportation by hand supporting means, transportation by animals, transportation by bicycle, transportation by wheelchair, transportation by sleigh, transportation by water etc.
