Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to gain a deeper understanding of Millikan’s view of the proper functions of beliefs, Millikan’s theory of content, and Millikan’s teleosemantics. This paper seeks to fill a gap in the current literature by examining different aspects of Millikan’s account of productivity, Millikan’s theory of proper functions, and Millikan’s version of teleosemantics.
