Activity of the European agro-food chain

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article was the presentation of questions concerning efficiency of food delivery chain in relation to efficiently satisfaction of consumers’ needs. The considerable price changes of food within the food delivery chain, observed recently, caused the growth of food prices and higher inflation rate. In this situation the activities aiming at the improvement of competitiveness of food delivery chain became very important. Those activities directly influence citizens. Moreover, the attention was paid to the irregular division of added value between particular members of the chain.
