Summary/Abstract: Gender equality on the labour market in Romania is still a principle which in practice raises serious problems. Theoretically, consecrated at the practical level the situation is tricky and difficult. The access of women in the professional environment is much more difficult than in the case of men and, on the other hand, wages for a similar job is under 25% in the case of women. considering the celelante aspects of women's involvement in social and family environment in which it operates, the problems generated by national and global economic crisis,gender equality on the labour market still remains a desideratum even if they have made steps in this regard and have been tried, including political charges.
