Applying multidimensional analysis to assessthe development of local housing property markets on the basis of Voivodeship cities

Summary/Abstract: The article proposes to apply multidimensional comparative analysis to assess the development of housing property markets in voivodeship cities in the context of satisfying the housing needs of the population in 2007-2011. The use of synthetic measure allowed to categorise the properties based on housing conditions as well as economic and demographic conditions. Thus, the cities were categorised based on investment needs. The second approach used in the classification was k-means method, which allowed to pinpoint cities with similar levels of the analysed phenomenon. The procedure proposed may be used in making decisions in the area of housing policy.
