Summary/Abstract: The social media network is formed and kept a lot of records that have potential archival value, for example material in pictures, video footage andother records of various entities, primarily the relationship between virtual public towards them. Archival professionals must be attentive to the content of this kind, especially in underdeveloped creators of archival materials. In connection with its long-term preservation the different archival professional issues emerge, related to the procedures in the design of these facilities, their evaluation, and primarily on the ways and forms of their long-term retention and archiving, as well as those associated with creating SIP and DIP. The authors present some basic theoretical and practical solutions
