Intraregional differences and their implications for the development of the Opole Voivodeship. Selected aspects

Summary/Abstract: Diversification of development occurring at every level and in every aspect of socio-economic activity, is caused by many factors among which besides natural and cultural factors, the most important are economic and social ones. The depth of diversification can determine further development of the area. The article analyses selected factors contributing to the specificity of the Opole Voivodeship and assesses selected absolute values: the number of operators, the number of people living in counties of the Opole Voivodeship, the number of employed and unemployed as well as indicators of natural growth, unemployment, migration balance. The aim of the study was to answer the question, which of them contributed significantly to the intraregional diversity of the region and implications and directions of the necessary actions for its further development.
