Summary/Abstract: Hybrid warfare represents a prominent concern for contemporary military analysts and theoreticians. The Russian Federation approach to this concept is not completely new. Compared to the modern operational environment’s characteristics and determinations, hybrid warfare can be addressed as an evolved and adapted form of operational art application. The military and non - military capabilities development and the significant effects that can be achieved by employing non - military means provide the framework for the creative and unrestricted planning and conduct of hybrid warfare specific actions.
