Summary/Abstract: The article covers the most representative editions of medieval Slavonic manuscripts available in the Internet at the moment. The different possibilities of reproducing the medieval Slavonic texts is examined in detail. An essentially positive aspect of some of the electronic versions is the fact that they are equipped with programs for textual analysis and full text retrieval. The electronic editions are compared with the traditional printed ones, the result being a clearer definition of their specific characteristics. Furthermore their prospects are outlined. The review ends with a general presentations of the advantages and shortcomings of the electronic publication of medieval Slavonic manuscripts, taking into consideration the possibilities for their application in scholarly research.
