Demographic variables in models of consumer demand

Summary/Abstract: This article presents a general theoretical model of consumer demand formulated by W. Welfe. An analysis shows the changes occurring in the disposable income, the average number of people, the average number of households, total expenditure and expenditure on food by households belonging to different socio-economic groups in the years 1993–2011. The linear models of development trends and cause and effect models were used in the analysis.
