Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the content of two unpublished documents kept in the post-Byzantine archives of the Athonite monastery of Vatopedi. The first one is a bilingual one and was initially written only in Bulgarian. However, its Greek translation, which has been added later on the same sheet of paper, contains some serious deviations from the meaning of the Bulgarian text, and was supposed to help Vatopedi in settling down some problems it had with the neighbouring Monastery of Pantokrator because of their common border on Mount Athos. The bilingual act bears no date, but it can be easily dated shortly before 1597 thanks to its connection with the second document, which is a Greek one firmly dated to 1597. Both acts are carefully scrutinized and published in full text.
