Summary/Abstract: In Poland after the Second World War, the education of children became the entraltopic of interest of many educators who craved the Polish cultural and intellectual rebirth after war damages. During that time, the pedagogy of cultural and aesthetical upbringing (including music education) was particularly emphasized. The author presents the practical and theoretical research (conducted in Cracow) pertaining to early child development. They include: the establishment of the first network of musical pre-schools in Poland (the Cracow curriculum and Methodical Concept) and numerous researchpublications. The author concludes the essay by offering new pedagogical directions inearly education in the period of digitization in the 21st century.
