Summary/Abstract: The article addresses the problems associated with the implementation of the „Europe 2020” strategy in the labor market, with particular emphasis on the situation of young people in the context of unemployment. At the beginning it presents the essence and the „Europe 2020” strategy, as well as its priorities, targets and key indicators. Another part of the study is of empirical nature in which it analyzes the problem of unemployment among young people on the Polish labor market. The last part of the article is devoted to the efforts to lower the unemployment rate among the age group indicated in the context of the implementation of the „Europe 2020” strategy aimed at facilitating the entry into the labor market of young person. The aim of the article is to present the efficiency of the implications of the „Europe 2020” strategy in the area of reducing the level of unemployment among young people in Poland, as well as to determine the directions of activities aimed at facilitating young people to enter the labor market, and employers to obtain the relevant labor force.
