Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the matter whether the civil claimant in criminal procedureperforms the function of indictment. His procedural activity is compared to those of the private prosecutor and the private complainant. The facts that the civil claimant is interestedto prove, the direction of his procedural activity and his motives for participating in thecriminal procedure in such a capacity, are analysed.
